Three-Hour Tour

BY THOMAS GRECH

Over the past month, I hope you had the opportunity to take full advantage of all that summer has to offer. Mets baseball games, outdoor community events, lazy days on the beach, and simply spending time with loved ones. Without a doubt, this is what summer is all about.

In mid-July, the Queens Chamber hosted our first signature event in nearly 15 months: the annual boat cruise via the Skyline Princess. It was great having everyone come together again after such a long absence. Many thanks to our amazing sponsors for their support in making this a successful three-hour tour.

This month, we are poised to provide you with a number of outstanding opportunities designed to educate and expand your network. Speed Networking returns with its fast-paced mode of meeting new contacts. It is by far one of the most exciting networking opportunities we offer.

Queens Chamber is also thrilled to offer an Airport Employment Job Fair with over 100 openings at both JFK and LaGuardia airports. You do not want to miss this event. Visit queenschamber.org for details and registration. This effort is supported by Borough President Donovan Richards, Councilman James Gennaro, NYC Small Business Services, and Red Eye Aviation Services.

We’re not out of the woods yet, which is why our “Employer Strategies to Manage and Motivate the Remote Workplace” webinar is relevant for those who haven’t made the transition back to the physical work environment. This journey over the past 16 months hasn’t been easy, but thankfully we’ll continue to make strides towards more normalcy.

One thing is certain, Queens Chamber remains in place to provide you with every resource to make your pathway as seamless as possible.

I know you have heard me say it numerous times before, but it’s true: this is the BEST job ever. It enables me the opportunity, with the assistance of an amazing team of dedicated individuals, to support this wonderfully diverse community we call home.
