St. John’s Conference Services raises the bar for event spaces in Queens
Did you know that St. John’s University, one of the most successful universities in Queens, is home to several amazing event spaces?
The St. John’s Conference Services Team works with local and national organizations to host over 13,000 events per year in various event spaces on campus. With 70+ meeting venues and 150+ classrooms, the possibilities to host are endless … and affordable too!
What kind of events, you ask…
New York Presbyterian Hospital hosted a 1,000 guest event in Carnesecca Arena when they became the official hospital for Jamaica, New York and the St John’s Athletic Association.
Brooklyn Catholic Youth Day took place in St John’s Taffner Field House, where approximately 2,200 youth attended the “Put Out Into the Deep” themed event.
The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (NYC DYCD) conducts monthly meetings in St. John’s venues, discussing how they plan to eliminate disparities in under-resourced communities through development programs. The meetings typically take place at the Marillac Auditorium, Marillac Terrace or in the Little Theater. Each of these spaces can accommodate parties 400+ guests.
“A prestigious university with state-of-the-art facilities, quality food, and the warm, hard working team at St. John’s Office of Conference Services made our event a very memorable one,” said Tom Grech, CEO of the Queens Chamber of Commerce.
Grech is referring to the Networking & Hoops event that entailed dinner & drinks, and speakers addressing the importance of supporting local businesses. The event then continued next door, at the SJU vs. Butler game in Carnesecca Arena.
St John’s Alumni can also receive a 10% discount on space rental fees toward events hosted at any of their New York-area campus’.
